At the Littleton Independent, we want to share your local news, photos and events. Here are some tips for submissions and deadlines:

Calendar items Are the brief listings of events on the Independent's weekly calendar page and our online calendar. Calendar items are due by 5 p.m. on Wednesdays, eight days prior to print publication. These should include a one- or two-sentence description, date, time, address, cost and where the public can find more information. Email them to littleton.events@wickedlocal.com.

News briefs, Your News or Your Sports Are longer press releases or articles, or anything with a photo, that you are submitting for consideration to run on a news (or sports) page. These are due by Monday at noon for consideration. Earlier is better. Engagement, birth or other announcements also fit into this category. Please send text as Word documents when possible; photos should be attached to the email as jpgs (not embedded in a Word document). Email these to littleton@wickedlocal.com and include "Littleton" in the subject line if possible. You can also submit your news via the "Submit Your News" link in the top menu of wickedlocallittleton.com.

Story ideas Are breaking news, upcoming events, newsworthy issues in town, interesting people to profile or questions you have about something going on in town that an editor, reporter and/or photographer may want to cover. If you have an idea for a feature story, let us know at least 1-2 weeks in advance. If you are requesting coverage of an event, include a cell phone number of a person who can be contacted before and during the event. Email the details to littleton@wickedlocal.com and/or call editor Becki Harrington-Davis at 978-371-5759 to discuss it.
